NEW COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program Application

“The Center” in Hackensack: If someone needs to screen with the Next Step remote team for assistance and services, leave a message at 201-336-6480 with their phone number and email (if they have one). Someone will reach out to screen them.

If you are homeless, you need to contact 211 for the homeless, hotel placement and then contact the respective agency that is providing services for permanent housing alter. Dial 211!

Who to complain to about no heat in NJ? You can contact, not only your local Buildings / BOH Dept, but you can contact NJ211.org> CLICK HERE! NJ DCA’s State Inspection Section – (609) 633-6241 is the NJ Department OF Community Affairs complaint line! The DCA can help with many housing problems.

Did you know “From October 1 to May 1, the rental premises shall be maintained at a temperature of at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.; between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the rental premises shall be maintained at a temperature of at least 65 degrees Fahrenheit. While a second Stimulus check wont cover much at all, Bergen County’s ESG program threw HABC NJ never stopped during the pandemic and Greater Bergen also has funding for Eviction prevention.
