If your landlord has told you that you are going to be evicted and after you have tried to work out a plan with them, what you should do..

When you get your first appearance notice; Here are some resources that may help you. You should not wait. Many loose a job, get injured, become sick and other reasons why you loose your income. If you are on housing program, you should let your housing specialist know immediately, as there are resources that may help you prevent your eviction. Many cases a land lord will work with you if they know that you are working on an alternate funding source.

Many more these days are even having problems which are more serious like housing discrimination & being denied services from different agencies. Everyone has to answer to someone! Right now, i cant emphasize it enough that hydration, your; mental Health, finances, needs to be a priority! Executive order NJ 222 UPDATE Eviction prevention: to expire on March 19, 2021. Unless the Governor extends it, or ends it early, the eviction moratorium will therefore last at least until May 19, 2021.
