Bergen County has a lot of programs and resources for seniors, the good news!. The bad news is; This day and age, unfortunately, with high rents and not many jobs available for older Bergen County residents! Have you heard about the new Bergen County “Housing Navigator”? They provide resources for seniors, medicare and much much more..

One of the new resources in Bergen County’s Administration building is the “housing Navigator” on the Second floor in Senior Services. You can sign up for the “Navigator Notes” (Navigator Notes is a service for senior (over age 60) or permanently disabled folks ) and get the latest updated housing wait list openings and more resources for Bergen county! Seniors; you can get help as well: Assistance Service Providers can help seniors complete applications, and provide “Options Counseling” which describes available programs that can help them to save money, such as the Medicare Savings Program, Food Stamps, info about saving; utilities & transportation & other topics. Call 201-366-7400. You can email them as well!
